Terms and Policies

These are the rules for using Silvea Builder and the other services of Silvea Technologies LLC, written to be read. They are a legal agreement between you and us, so please read them before you sign up.

Terms of Service

Effective October 3, 2026. Updated October 3, 2026: our services are now provided by Silvea Technologies LLC.

1. Who we are

"Silvea Technologies", "Silvea", "we" and "us" mean Silvea Technologies LLC, an Alabama limited liability company based in Eclectic, Alabama, United States. "Silvea Builder" or "the builder" is our website and web app builder. "The services" means the builder, hosting with Silvea, domain registration, the dashboard, and any custom work we do for you. "You" means the person or business using the services.

2. Agreeing to these terms

By creating an account, starting a trial, paying for a plan, accepting a quote or paying an invoice, you agree to these Terms and to the other policies on this page: the Privacy Policy, Refunds and Cancellation, Acceptable Use, and Hosting and Domains. If you use the services for a business, you agree for that business and confirm you are allowed to.

3. Who can use the services

  • The services are for customers in the United States. When you sign up you confirm that you live or do business in the United States.
  • You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has read these Terms and agreed to them for you. That parent or guardian is responsible for your use of the services and for any charges.
  • You must give true information when you sign up and keep your email address current, because that is how we reach you about your account, payments and renewals.

4. Your account

Keep your password safe and do not share your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can turn on two-step sign-in in Account › Security, and we recommend it. Tell us straight away at support@silvea.tech if you think someone else has used your account.

5. Trials, plans and websites

  • Free trial. A new account gets a free trial (currently 8 days) to build and preview one website. Nothing can be exported, published or hosted during the trial, and no card is needed.
  • Plans. The Websites plan builds websites. The Web apps plan builds web apps. The Websites and web apps plan builds both. Plans + Hosting include hosting for one site with Silvea. Prices are shown in the builder and at checkout, in US dollars.
  • Websites and web apps per plan. A plan covers a set number of projects: currently one website on Websites, one web app on Web apps, and one of each on Websites and web apps. A project becomes one of them when you start it (a project started before October 2026 becomes one the first time it is exported, published or hosted); you can then edit and export it as often as you like while your plan is active. Each website or web app after that is a one-time fee shown before you pay. Websites you have paid for stay yours: a backup of one includes its website files, even after your plan ends. Hosting with Silvea is separate for each one: every site you host with us has its own hosting plan, billed monthly at the website or web app hosting rate shown before you pay. A plan + Hosting includes hosting for one site; any other site gets its own hosting plan.
  • Hosted sites. While a site is hosted with Silvea, you can edit and publish it as often as you like, even without a builder plan. Building, exporting or hosting anything else needs a plan.
  • Changing plans. Moving up to a bigger plan charges the difference for the rest of the current billing period straight away. Moving down keeps the bigger plan until the period you paid for ends, with no credit. A yearly plan can not switch to monthly part way through; end it, and choose monthly when it runs out.
  • Renewals. Plans renew automatically every month or year until you cancel. By subscribing you authorize us, through our payment processor Stripe, to charge your card at each renewal.

Cancelling, refunds and late payments are covered in Refunds and Cancellation.

6. Your content

Your sites, text, photos, files and projects ("your content") stay yours. You give us a limited permission to store, copy, process, display and publish your content only as needed to run the services for you: saving your work, showing previews, hosting your site and making backups. This permission ends when your content is deleted from our systems, except for copies we must keep by law or that sit in routine backups until they are replaced.

You are responsible for your content and for having the rights to use it, including photos, fonts, logos and text. Your content must follow the Acceptable Use policy.

Your own website visitors. If your site collects information from its visitors (for example a contact form sent to your Silvea lead inbox), you are responsible for telling your visitors how you use it and for following the laws that apply to your business. We handle that information only to deliver it to you.

7. Our builder and our property

The builder, its code, design, templates, blocks, widgets and the Silvea Technologies name and logo belong to us or our licensors. While your plan is active you may use the builder to make sites, and you may keep, export and use the sites you make, including the template and block designs inside them, for your own business or your clients' businesses. You may not copy, resell, rent or offer the builder itself, its templates or its block library as a product of your own, or try to get around plan limits, payments or security.

Silvea Technologies and the Silvea logo are service marks of Silvea Technologies LLC. Sites you export do not carry our branding.

8. Other services we connect to

Some features rely on other companies, such as Stripe for payments, Hostinger for hosting and domains, Supabase for storage, Pexels for stock photos, Google for fonts, and, only if you choose them, Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, Groq or NVIDIA for AI writing (with your own key) and OpenAI for signing in with ChatGPT. Their own terms also apply to what they provide, and we are not responsible for services we do not run. Stock photos come with their provider's license; check it before using a photo.

9. Custom work, quotes and invoices

We also build and look after sites for clients directly. When we send you a quote, it is valid until the date shown. Accepting it, online or in writing, is an agreement to the work and price it describes, under these Terms. Invoices are due by the date shown. A recurring invoice is billed every month or year as a subscription until either of us ends it. Anything specific to a project, such as what is included, how many changes, and timelines, is set out in the quote. If a quote and these Terms disagree, the quote wins for that project.

10. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the services and cancel your plans at any time from Account, and you can delete your account there too. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or the Acceptable Use policy, that we reasonably believe is fraudulent, or that does not pay what it owes. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it. What happens to your work after a plan ends is explained in the Privacy Policy (keeping your information) and in Hosting and Domains.

11. No warranty

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT YOUR SITE WILL RANK IN SEARCH ENGINES, OR THAT IT WILL BRING YOU ANY PARTICULAR RESULTS.

12. Limits on our liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR GOODWILL, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ABOUT THE SERVICES IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR $100 IF THAT IS MORE.

Some states do not allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can not be limited by law.

13. Your responsibility to us

If someone makes a claim against us because of your content, your site, or your breaking these Terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, including reasonable legal fees.

14. Disputes

If something goes wrong, please email us first at support@silvea.tech; most problems are sorted out quickly that way. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any lawsuit about the services must be brought in the state courts located in Elmore County, Alabama, or the federal courts for the Middle District of Alabama, and you and we agree to those courts. Either of us may instead bring a claim in small claims court where it qualifies.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these policies. Small changes, like clearer wording, are made on this page. When we make a change that affects your rights, we will tell you in the builder, and you will be asked to agree to the new version the next time you sign in. If you do not agree, you can cancel and stop using the services.

16. Everything else

These policies are the whole agreement between you and us about the services, together with any quote you accept. If a part of them can not be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a part straight away, we have not given it up. You may not transfer this agreement without our written permission; we may transfer it to someone who takes over the services, and we will tell you if we do.

Privacy Policy

Effective October 3, 2026. Updated October 3, 2026: Silvea Technologies LLC is now responsible for your information. Updated October 12, 2026: what we share with Hostinger for domains you register.

This explains what information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies in the builder.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address, password (stored only as a one-way scrambled hash we can not read), whether you confirmed your email, and your two-step sign-in settings.
  • Billing details: your plans, subscriptions, invoices and payment status. Card numbers go straight to Stripe; we never see or store them.
  • Your work: projects, photos and files you upload, saved versions, and settings, kept with your account so they are there on any device.
  • Hosting and domains: the domains you register or connect, the owner details of domains you register through us with the record of your agreement to the registrar's terms (when, and your internet address), and the files of sites we host.
  • Client records: if we do custom work for you, your contact details, business address, the services we provide and our notes about them.
  • Messages from your site's visitors: if your forms send to the Silvea lead inbox, we store those messages for you. For that information we act on your behalf, as your service provider.
  • People who use your web apps: if you build a web app with sign-in or saved data, we store its users' names, email addresses and password hashes, and what its forms save. For that information we also act on your behalf, as your service provider: you decide who uses your app and what it collects, and you can see, download and delete it in Site › App users and data.
  • Visitor counts for sites we host: unless you turn them off, sites hosted with Silvea count page views, the page, where the visit came from (like Google) and the kind of device. We keep only daily totals: no cookies, no internet addresses and nothing that tells one visitor from another. We keep them for 13 months.
  • Support messages you send us, and proof that you agreed to these policies (which version, when, and the internet address it came from).
  • Basic technical data: internet address and browser details in our server logs and rate limits, used for security and to stop abuse.

Cookies and storage in your browser

We use one cookie, silvea_sid, to keep you signed in (it lasts up to 30 days). The builder also saves your projects and preferences in your own browser's storage so it works fast and offline. We do not use analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies in the builder. Fonts load from Google Fonts and some code libraries from cdnjs, which receive your internet address when your browser downloads them, like any website.

How we use it

  • To run the services: saving your work, publishing and hosting your sites, registering domains, and delivering your form messages.
  • To bill you, send receipts, and remind you about renewals and late payments.
  • To email you about your account, security, and changes to these policies. We will not send marketing emails without giving you a way to stop them.
  • To answer support requests, keep the services secure, and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To meet legal obligations, such as tax records.

Who we share it with

Only the companies that help us run the services, and only what they need:

  • Stripe: payments and billing.
  • Supabase: our database and file storage.
  • Hostinger: hosting sites, registering domains, and sending our emails. For a domain you register through us, the owner details you give (name, business name, email, phone and address) go to Hostinger and the domain registry, as the rules for domains require, and some may be shown in the public WHOIS directory where privacy protection is not available.
  • Pexels: stock photo search (your search words, not your account).
  • GitHub: only for the Silvea team's own work.
  • Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), OpenRouter, Groq or NVIDIA: only if you add your own API key for one of them in Design › AI. Your page text and the business details you give it then go from your browser straight to that company under your key and its terms. NVIDIA does not accept requests straight from a browser, so for NVIDIA they pass through our server on the way; we do not keep or log them. Your key stays in your browser and is never stored with your account.
  • OpenAI (Continue with ChatGPT): only if you choose to sign in with your ChatGPT login. OpenAI then tells us your name, email address and that the email is confirmed. We never see your ChatGPT chats, memory or files. A profile you ask ChatGPT to write and paste into the builder is treated like anything else you type.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or with someone who takes over the services (we will tell you if that happens). These companies may store data in the United States or other countries where they operate.

How long we keep it

  • While your plan or trial is active, we keep your account and work.
  • When a plan or trial ends, your work stays in your account for 90 days so you can come back. We email you 14 days before it is cleared. Accounts with a hosted site are kept while the site is hosted.
  • When you delete your account, we delete your account, projects, files, versions, leads, your web apps' users and data, and visitor counts straight away, and cancel your plans and hosting.
  • We keep billing and tax records, and proof of agreement to these policies, for as long as the law requires, usually up to 7 years.

Your choices and rights

  • See and download your information: Account › Delete account › Download my data gives you a copy of your account information, and Download a backup saves your projects, with the website files of the ones you have paid for.
  • Correct it: change your details in Account, or ask us.
  • Delete it: Account › Delete account, or ask us.
  • Ask us anything about your information at ashton@silvea.tech. We reply within 30 days, and we will not treat you differently for asking. Depending on your state (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or Texas), you may have further rights under its privacy laws, and we will honor them.

Security

We use HTTPS, scrambled password hashes, optional two-step sign-in, encrypted storage for sensitive keys, and access limits so only our own server can reach the database. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and two-step sign-in. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.

Children

The services are not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has signed up, email us and we will delete the account.

Refunds and Cancellation

Effective October 3, 2026

Cancelling

  • You can cancel your builder plan or your hosting at any time from Account, or from Manage billing.
  • Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your plan or hosting keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for.
  • The builder plan and hosting are separate. Ending the builder plan keeps your hosted site online, and you keep paying only for hosting. You can still edit and publish that site as often as you like.
  • Changed your mind before the period ends? Choose Keep my plan or Keep hosting in Account.

Refunds

Payments are not refunded, including partly used months or years, setup fees, one-time fees for extra websites, and domain registrations once the domain is registered. Moving down to a smaller plan gives no credit; you keep the bigger plan until the period ends.

There are two exceptions. If we can not register a domain you paid for, we refund that payment in full. And if we charged you by mistake, for example twice for the same thing, we refund the mistake; email support@silvea.tech. Nothing here takes away a right to a refund that the law gives you.

Late payments

  • If a renewal payment for your builder plan does not go through, the builder locks straight away: your projects are safe, but they can not be changed, exported or published until it is paid. If it is still unpaid after 3 days, the plan is cancelled. You can start a plan again whenever you like.
  • If a hosting payment does not go through, your site stays online for 3 days. If it is still unpaid after that, the site is paused and visitors see a "back soon" page until it is paid. Your files, domain and settings are kept while it is paused, and the site comes back within minutes of payment.
  • We email you when a payment fails, with a link to pay.

Invoices for custom work

Quotes and invoices for custom work follow the payment terms shown on them. Work already done and time already spent are not refunded, but if we can not deliver what a quote promised, we will make it right or refund the part not delivered.

Acceptable Use

Effective October 3, 2026

You may not use the services, or sites built or hosted with them, to:

  • Break any law, or help someone else break one.
  • Share sexual content involving minors, in any form. We report it to the authorities.
  • Publish sexually explicit or pornographic content.
  • Harass, threaten, bully or stalk anyone, or promote violence or hatred against people because of who they are.
  • Impersonate a person, business or brand, or make sites that trick people, such as phishing or fake login pages, fake stores, scams or fake reviews.
  • Collect people's passwords or payment details without permission, or collect personal information without telling them.
  • Spread malware, viruses or harmful code, or attack, scan or overload other systems.
  • Send spam, or use our forms and lead inbox to send messages people did not ask for.
  • Use photos, text, music, logos or code you do not have the rights to use.
  • Sell illegal goods or services, or run gambling, lotteries or regulated products (like firearms, drugs or alcohol) without the licenses the law requires.
  • Get around plan limits, payments or security, share one account between several businesses to avoid fees, or overload our systems on purpose.

If we find content that breaks these rules, we may remove it, pause a hosted site or close the account. Where it is safe and lawful, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it. To report something on a site we host, or a copyright problem, email ashton@silvea.tech with the address of the page and what is wrong. For copyright, include your contact details, the work you own, and a statement that you believe the use is not authorized.

Hosting and Domains

Effective October 12, 2026. Updated October 12, 2026: domains you register through us are registered in your name.

Hosting with Silvea

  • What it includes. We put your site online, keep it running, and you publish changes from the builder. Each hosting plan has limits on pages, file size and video. When a site grows past its plan, publishing asks you to move up; the price is shown first.
  • Uptime. We aim for 99.9% uptime each month. This is a goal, not a guarantee, and no credits or refunds are given for downtime. Our hosting partner sometimes needs maintenance, and we may need to take a site offline briefly to keep things secure.
  • Your copy of the site. Your builder project is your copy of your site. Publishing replaces what is online with the project as it is at that moment. Download a backup from the builder from time to time; we do not promise separate backups of hosted sites.
  • When hosting ends. When hosting is cancelled or not paid, the site goes offline at the end of the period paid for, and its hosted files may be deleted. Your builder project follows the keeping rules in the Privacy Policy.
  • Our hosting partner's rules. Sites we host run on Hostinger's servers, so they also have to follow Hostinger's terms on acceptable use, alongside our Acceptable Use policy. Your agreement for hosting is with us, not with Hostinger.
  • Hosting without the builder. You can end the builder plan and keep hosting. Your site stays online, and you can keep editing and publishing it from the builder as often as you like, for as long as it is hosted with us.

Domains

  • You choose it, and it is yours. You pick the domain yourself, and it is registered in your name, with the owner details you give us: you are its owner (the registrant) and its administrative contact. Silvea Technologies is listed only as the billing and technical contact, because we pay the registrar and run the domain's DNS for your site. Registration is for one year.
  • Who registers it. Domains are registered through Hostinger, our registration partner, which is affiliated with an ICANN-accredited registrar. Silvea Technologies is not a registrar. Before you pay for a domain, you agree to Hostinger's Domain Name Registration Agreement, and we keep a record of that. Domain registrations are also governed by the domain registry's rules and ICANN's policies, including the Registrant Benefits and Responsibilities.
  • Accurate details. To register a domain you must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian register it in their name. The owner details must be real, complete and current: they go to the registrar and the registry, and some of them may be shown in the public WHOIS directory where privacy protection is not available. If they change, update them in the builder (Hosting › Domain owner details) within 5 business days. The registrar may email the owner to confirm the details, and a domain with false details, or whose owner does not answer the registrar, can be suspended or cancelled.
  • Renewals. Domains do not renew automatically. We email you before a domain expires (about 30 days and 5 days before) with a link to renew for another year. If it is not renewed, it stops working after the expiry date and may become available to others.
  • Moving your domain away. You can move your domain to another registrar. Email us and we will send you its transfer (authorization) code and unlock it once it is eligible (registries lock a domain for 60 days after it is registered or transferred). Ending hosting or the builder plan never takes your domain away: it stays registered to you until it expires.
  • Your own domain. If you connect a domain you already own, you stay in charge of it at your registrar, including renewing it and keeping the DNS records we give you in place.
  • Domain prices are shown before you pay and may change at renewal.
